Positive Signs of Recovery in Polish Industry Despite Lower-than-Expected December Results
2025-01-22Despite the December industrial production figures being slightly lower than economists' forecasts, data from the Central Statistical Office points to positive signs of recovery in Polish industry. The sold production of industry increased by 0.2% compared to December 2023, indicating stabilization and rebuilding of the industrial sector.
PKO BP analysts emphasize that this growth, although small, confirms an improvement in the industry, and seasonal declines in December are not unusual. Importantly, industrial production increased by 0.3% throughout 2024 compared to the previous year, indicating a sustained upward trend.
The outlook for the coming months is also optimistic. Experts from the Polish Economic Institute predict that the industry will gradually strengthen, and in the first quarter of 2025, production growth is expected at a rate of 1-2% annually. The greatest growth potential is seen in the production of consumer goods and industries related to construction, such as the metal and non-metallic materials industry.
In summary, despite some fluctuations, the industry shows signs of recovery, and the coming months offer the chance to continue this positive trend.
